IAS Section Chairs

The Buffalo Chapter of the Institute of Aeronautical Sciences held its first meeting in April 1943. It merged with the ARS Niagara Frontier Section at midnight on January 31, 1963, to create the AIAA Niagara Frontier Section. Chair records for this era are incomplete.

The Niagara Frontier Rocket Society held its first meeting in October 1951 and affiliated with the American Rocket Society by 1954. It merged with the IAS Buffalo Chapter to form the AIAA Niagara Frontier Section in January 1963.
